FOs, sorta.
Pattern: Reverse Miter Dishcloth (Rav link)
Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, 1 ball per cloth
Needles: 5 mm Clover bamboo 9″ straights
Let me introduce you to my favourite dishcloth pattern. It requires even less brainpower than a standard dishcloth pattern, but it makes better use of yarn–no more guessing when to stop increasing and start decreasing. You can just cast on three stitches and keep following the pattern until your yarn runs out, and end up with a proper square every time regardless of yardage.
I have an extra pair of 5 mm needles, and I keep one of these dishcloths on them at all times. I work on it when the brain’s turned to mush and the fingers are too clumsy to even handle a basic stockinette sock.
You know, this isn’t really an FO post. It’s cat spam disguised as an FO post, likely obvious by the furry dishcloth models. So instead of continuing this charade, let’s drop all pretense and I’ll share a couple more photos (both of which have a distinct lack of FOs).
![]() First, there’s Bonsai. She likes to pull the covers over herself and keep her claws in the blanket for insurance. So cute. |
![]() Second, there’s Stevie, who sleeps in bed like a human–under blankets with his head on the pillow. At least he keeps the sheets warm. |
The only thing I mind about sleeping in a single bed again (I haven’t slept in a single bed since my second year of university) is that there’s less room for cats. Sometimes, just sometimes, I like to be able to move my legs without kicking and/or dislodging anything.
They do make good footwarmers, though.

What cuties!!!!
The BF would explain that this is because cats are on a mission to take over the world. I point out that this is cobblers. Lovely dishcloths and lovlier cats.
Love the knitting - the Cat-Spam is even better!
