The beginnings of a rare autumn thunderstorm. I thought the first rumble might have been a train. |
Ten minutes later. This one moved in fast. I unfortunately failed to snap any action shots of the lightning. |
And then it turned to hail. Also rare, around here. It alternated between pouring rain and hail for quite some time. |
Stevie, not pleased at being awakened from a good laundry-pile nap by inclement weather. |
The organic honeybush tea I drank after I opened the curtains to watch the rain. The flavour’s light, but distinctive, and just a little sweet. |
The delicious unblocked texture of the (almost-finished) Tretta I worked on while it poured. I was going to use clear glass beads, but the amber beads set off the yarn colours better. |
And, finally, a random close-up of a 200g skein of Sea Silk on my desk. |
Strangely, we’ve had very similar weather over here in the past couple of days. It was just NASTY last night. Am very glad I can stay indoors and do nothing with a clear conscience.
I may have to try that tea, I love a good mild yet sweet tea. The pattern of the Tretta looks wonderful and the color soooo rich. The only problem with the seasilk is that you’ll want more and more of it.
Sea Silk….yum!
